Are you a Forces Friendly employer? Have you signed the Armed Forces Covenant? Do you employ members of the Military family (Veterans, Service leavers, Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, Military spouses)?

Then you should think about nominating your company for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.

Minister for Defence People and Veterans Tobias Ellwood said:

“When people leave the Armed Forces, they do so with unique skills and experiences that can benefit businesses and organisations across the country.

“These awards show just how valued and in demand these skills are. I encourage more businesses to sign up to the Armed Forces Covenant and show their support for our brave service leavers.”

Reservists and Veterans bring a variety of transferable skills and qualities to the civilian workplace, developed throughout their military careers.

Being flexible to the unique situations of the wider armed forces community ensures fair treatment to everyone involved. This includes company policies and procedures that support and advocate the employment of Veterans and Reservists, whilst also supporting their families.
