In the lead up to Christmas there was tough competition at 159 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps’ annual Christmas cake contest.

The competition saw 14 incredible entries from staff and personnel across their regiment, the Royal British Legion and this year for the first time, Army Cadets from the Canley Platoon and Air Cadets from 163 (Coventry-Phoenix) Squadron.

Becoming a firm tradition within their regiment, the cakes are baked, decorated and then auctioned off to raise funds for charity – with ABF The Soldiers’ Charity being this year’s chosen cause.

Judges from the regiment, local businesses and our RFCA had the difficult decision of scoring each cake to decide which would be crowned in the top three places.  And the winners were…

1st AND 2nd Place – 163 (Coventry-Phoenix) Squadron

3rd Place – Private Clamp from 159 Regiment RLC

A whopping £407.00 was raised by the auction on the day for the charity.  Huge congratulations to all who took part!  More photographs from the competition are available to view in our gallery here.
