Army Reservists from 37th Signal Regiment had the great pleasure in welcoming the Corps Colonel-in-Chief HRH Princess Royal to their Regimental Headquarters at Kohima House, Redditch.

It was the perfect opportunity to showcase the technical capability of the Regiment and the career progression that Reserve soldiers follow.

During the visit the Regiment showcased themed stands for recruiting, basic military training, trade training and a range of equipment, from BOWMAN Radios and FALCON communications assets through to ICS technologies and cyber developments.

Then there was the opportunity to meet family members, before presenting a number of medals and awards to some proud individuals.

HRH presented six awards including three Volunteer Reserve Service Medals (VRSM) and one Clasp to:

Mrs Maggie Hughes – Imperial Service Medal
LCpl Deborah Barrett – VRSM
LCpl Hemming – VRSM
LCpl Kiel Vaughan – VRSM
Sgt Tracey Fleming – 2nd clasp to VRSM
Maj Sandra Hennis – CGS Commendation (for the Ice Maiden expedition across Antarctica)

37th Signal Regiment’s Headquarters are based in Redditch, with further Midlands-based squadrons located Birmingham, Coventry, Stafford and Nottingham.
