West Midland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association’s (RFCA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) was once again a success, with over 120 guests attending the event held at The Staffordshire County Showground. The guests enjoyed a presentation from the Royal Air Force, in this special celebration year of RAF 100 along with an update on the latest Cadets and Reserves developments from across the region.

The event, which took place on 22nd May 2018, included speeches from West Midland RFCA Chairman Colonel The Hon P S Seccombe TD and Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire and President of West Midland RFCA Mr Ian Dudson.

Following the presentation, speeches and association business, our guests enjoyed a summer luncheon whilst networking. Our guests included Lord Lieutenants, Mayors, members of the association, military representatives from the Navy, Army and RAF along with representatives of the cadet organisations including Army Cadet Force, RAF Air Cadets, Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force.

Following luncheon we were delighted to welcome The Rt Hon Earl Howe, Deputy Leader of the House of Lords and Minister of State for Defence, who spoke about the status of the British Military and the importance of Reserves, with mentions of specific regional unit activities.
