In its second year in Birmingham the Education Awards for 2018 were held on 6th July. The Education Awards showcase the work of schools, further education and higher education and identifies and celebrates establishments, people and organisations that go above and beyond to promote excellence within our education system.
West Midland RFCA this year sponsored the award for College of the Year and bought together a military presence for the awards. In attendance were representatives from the Royal Navy, Army and RAF. The highlight of the awards was the Warwickshire Army Cadet Force band who performed as guests arrived for the evening and also led the call for dinner.
Colonel Rosie Stone gave an inspirational speech on the Military Education Partnership and Wing Commander Paul Bell presented the award for College of the Year to Walsall College.
