Vacancy Notice – Administrative Officer (Part-time)

Applications are invited for a Part-Time Administrative Officer at the West Midland Reserve Forces & Cadets Association (WMRFCA).  The post is based at the Association’s Headquarters in Tennal Grange, Harborne, Birmingham.

The current salary for this post is £11,442 for 20 hrs covering Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Council of RFCAs Pension Scheme.  This is a Career Average Revalued Earnings (CARE) Scheme.

The appointment is for a probationary period of six months in the first instance, after which it may be confirmed on a permanent basis.

The holiday entitlement is 25 days annual leave on entry (previous HM Armed Forces service and previous service in the Public Sector may attract additional entitlement) plus public Bank holidays.

The position will be subject to a Security Clearance check, Enhanced DBS and two suitable referees.

Responsible to the Head of Estates and the Estates Officer for delegated duties within the Estates Office and be conversant with Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Access and Excel) and input of works service accounts to computer and contract control system.
