Deputy County Commandant
Hereford and Worcester Army Cadet Force

Brigade: 11th Signal and West Midlands Brigade
Rank Range: Maj – Lt Col

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Commandant Hereford and Worcester ACF, based at Suvla Barracks, Hereford. The post will become available in October 2021 to allow a handover period until 19th November 2021 latest. The successful applicant will report to the County Cadet Commandant.

The post is a voluntary appointment for an initial three-year tenure, extendable by a further two years if agreed by the Brigade Commander and the incumbent and considered as being in the best interests of the cadet movement.

Under the regulations for a Cadet Force Commission, the successful applicant will assume the rank of Lieutenant Colonel if qualified. They will also be eligible for up to a maximum of 28 days "Volunteer Allowance" and will be entitled to residence to place of duty and motor mileage allowances whilst on authorised ACF activities.

Candidates should ideally have held a commission in the regular Forces, Reserves or Cadet Movement. Exceptionally, applicants with extensive senior leadership in other youth, community or voluntary sectors will be considered.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an 'Enhanced Disclosure' prior to appointment.
