Five supportive employers across the West Midlands region have been re-awarded their Gold and Silver Awards as part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
The Employer Recognition Scheme acknowledges employers who have provided exceptional support to the Armed Forces community.
The Gold and Silver Awards are reviewed every five years, and requires each organisation to resubmit an application to be considered by a judging panel, which consists of senior officers from across the three services.
These revalidations are awarded to especially recognise the long-term support that employers have given to the Armed Forces community. It highlights that through their consistent support over a sustained period of time, they have been able to continue to champion and demonstrate their forces-friendly measures.
We are delighted to announced the following revalidations:
Gold Award 2020 (revalidation)
Jaguar Land Rover
Silver Award 2020 (revalidation)
HS Marstons (part of Collins Aerospace)
Police Mutual Forces Mutual
University of Birmingham
The revalidation awards are made in addition to the 15 new employers in the region who have been given their Gold Award, and the 22 employers who have gained their Silver Award.
