An Air Cadet from 2028 (Southam) Squadron Air Training Corps is raising funds for a close personal cause.  Cadet Flight Sergeant Will Scott will take part in a charity skydive to raise vital funds for Dementia UK, after his step-dad was diagnosed with Dementia.

Talking about the challenge on his Just Giving page, Will wrote that he has “always believed in setting goals and challenges.” He continued by adding: “I think it is important that you are always working towards something.  One of my goals was to skydive.  I have always wanted to go skydiving and despite my love of flying, I thought why not jump out of an aircraft instead of fly it!  However, I didn’t JUST want to do a skydive, I wanted to give support to a charity very close to my heart.”

Setting an original fundraising target of £1,000, Will has already smashed his target and has currently raised nearly £1,500 to date.  Both his school and the squadron are fully backing his determination to complete the adrenaline filled challenge.

No stranger to taking part in demanding events, in 2020 he completed an 80k run to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

We wish Will the best of luck in his challenge – and can’t wait to hear about the skydive itself!
